• Q. How does Grammarly work?
  A. Grammarly analyzes your typed text and uses AI to detect grammar, spelling, style, tone, plagiarism, and more, and offers proofreading suggestions.
  It works in real-time in a variety of apps including MS Word, Outlook, Gmail, Slack, Jira, and Salesforce, as well as web editors, and is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
• Q. Does Grammarly offer a trial?
  A. Yes, Grammarly occasionally offers free trials of Grammarly Pro to individual and team users. You can check the website for trial availability, and the basic Free plan is always available.
• Q. What's the difference between Grammarly Free and Pro?
  Grammarly Free provides basic grammar and spelling error correction.
  Grammarly Pro (formerly Premium/Business), on the other hand, includes more than 400 advanced features (vocabulary suggestions, full sentence rewrites, plagiarism detection, citation suggestions, and more) to help you refine your personal and team communications.
• Q. How many devices can I use Grammarly on?
  You can use Grammarly on up to five devices with one account. To use it on a new device, simply sign in with your account.
• Q. Can text written in Grammarly be considered plagiarized?
  No. Articles written in Grammarly aren't indexed on the web, so they won't be marked as plagiarized.
• Q. Is Grammarly available for educational institutions?
  Yes, Grammarly also offers a Grammarly for Education solution for universities and schools, which you can request a separate quote for.
• Q. Is Grammarly safe?
  Yes, Grammarly prioritizes the protection of your information and has industry-leading security measures in place, including TLS 1.2 encrypted transmission, AES-256 encrypted storage, and password protection with bcrypt hashing.
  User data is processed and stored on Amazon Web Services, and data is kept logically separate.
• Q. Does Grammarly share my data with third parties?
  Your content is not shared with third parties in principle, and only minimal information (such as the type of prompt) is passed on with security measures to carefully vetted partners for some generative AI features. Partners are not allowed to use that data to train their own models.
• Q. Can I delete my data from Grammarly?
  Yes, you can delete your personal data, including all documents stored in Grammarly Editor, by deleting your account. You can also see what data is stored by "Request a personal data report" in your account settings.
