What if we looked at assets as works of art? Just as a painter mixes paints to create new colors, we can mix and match different assets to create a beautiful portfolio.
I was inspired by Jackson Pollock's work in a gallery the other day: a seemingly chaotic splattering of paint, but underneath the surface, there's a meticulous calculation and balance. It hit me: our asset portfolios are the same way!
Most people only see assets as numbers. Returns, volatility, correlations... But what's really important is the "artistic harmony" that all these elements create together. Just like a musician combines the sounds of different instruments to create one perfect harmony.
That's why I designed this creative process:

The results of reorganizing my portfolio with this approach were amazing. For example, by approaching the mix of growth and value stocks as a contrast of warm and cool colors, I was able to find an "emotional balance" that I had missed with a traditional hard analysis.
Six months later, while returns are important, the bigger change has been my mindset towards asset management. Instead of stressing out about checking stock prices every day, I'm now enjoying the long-term perspective of building a portfolio.
