Wisconsin Emerges as National Leader in AI Innovation
October 15, 2025 – Kenosha, Wis. – Wisconsin is emerging as a central figure in the national technology landscape. With Microsoft's recent announcement of a $4 billion expansion in Racine, bringing their total investment to $7 billion, the state is set to become a hub for artificial intelligence, innovation, and future-ready careers.
To capitalize on this opportunity, Women in Technology Wisconsin, Inc. (WiT) is partnering with Microsoft to launch AI in Motion, a 5-part event series aimed at showcasing the transformative power of AI and building a talent pipeline to ensure girls and women are at the forefront of this historic growth. WiT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to attracting, growing, and retaining women of all ages in technology-related careers across all industries.
The series kicks off with Building Our Region’s Future on Wednesday, November 19, from 7:15 am to 12:30 pm at UW-Parkside in Kenosha. Each session will take place at a different venue in Southeast Wisconsin. Both WiT members and nonmembers are invited to attend.
“This is a game-changing moment for Wisconsin,” said Natalie Nelson, WiT Executive Director. “AI will transform industries, communities, and careers, and we’re ensuring women and girls are not just included but leading this charge. The investments happening here in our state will impact generations to come.”
WiT members and nonmembers are encouraged to participate.
“AI in Motion is more than an event — it’s a catalyst for collaboration,” Nelson stated. “Together with Microsoft, we’re connecting innovators, educators, and community leaders to prepare Wisconsin’s workforce for the future of technology.”
