Rowboat Launches Open-source IDE for Multi-agent Systems
Rowboat has unveiled a significant update to its open-source IDE for multi-agent systems, alongside a new cloud offering. The platform now integrates with hundreds of tools like Gmail, Github, and Slack, and includes triggers to invoke assistants based on external events.
The cloud version encompasses all the features of the open-source IDE, enabling instant operation without setup or API keys. Users can start with $10 of free usage on Gemini models, with paid plans beginning at $20 per month, offering access to additional models and higher usage limits.
Multi-agent systems are ideal for tasks involving multiple domains, as they allow for clear division of responsibilities, making testing and debugging easier. Rowboat has incorporated agent abstractions based on OpenAI's Agents SDK to support various patterns.
Rowboat's copilot, 'Skipper', is equipped with tested patterns, such as manager-worker setups for customer support bots and pipelines for automated document summarization. This design facilitates the creation and maintenance of sophisticated agent systems efficiently.
