PayPal Introduces Agentic Commerce Services for AI Shopping
PayPal Inc. has announced the launch of agentic commerce services, aimed at enabling merchants to attract customers and secure their success in the AI-driven commerce era. These services leverage PayPal's trusted payment infrastructure, identity verification, and buyer protection.
Initially, PayPal's agentic commerce services will feature an agentic payment solution and a catalog and order management offering that connects product data, inventory, and fulfillment with AI-driven discovery and checkout experiences.
PayPal is adopting an open approach, supporting multiple AI ecosystems through a single integration, providing merchants with flexibility. This marks the first of many offerings from PayPal, designed to enable trustworthy AI commerce experiences globally.
The company is introducing an agentic payments solution called agent ready, allowing merchants to accept payments on AI surfaces, including conversational AI and browser-automated experiences. Merchants will benefit from new discoverability options and payment flexibility based on the latest PayPal checkout configurations.
Additionally, PayPal is launching store sync, a feature that makes merchants' product data discoverable within leading AI channels. Merchants can sign up for store sync at PayPal.ai, with enrollment becoming available soon.
