Musk’s xAI Revolutionizes AI Video with 3D-like Effects
Elon Musk's xAI has launched version 0.9 of its Grok Imagine platform, enhancing video generation speed and adding 3D-like motion effects. This marks xAI's most assertive move in the burgeoning AI video competition.
According to xAI's official blog, Grok Imagine v0.9 renders videos twice as fast as before, significantly improving frame continuity, color correction, and visual consistency.
The standout feature is its ability to make 2D animations appear three-dimensional. The model uses a Frame Continuity System to automatically add virtual camera movements to static images.
Grok has evolved from a chatbot into a multimodal AI engine that integrates real-time X data trends. Grok Imagine can now transform text, images, and audio into short videos up to 15 seconds long.
This development places xAI in direct competition with leaders in the global AI video field. Grok Imagine operates natively within X, providing creators with a seamless generate-and-post workflow.
Not all aspects of the update are free from controversy. Musk's team has reinstated 'Spicy Mode', allowing the generation of adult or restricted-content imagery.
