Microsoft Unveils Major Copilot Update with Clippy 2.0
Microsoft has announced a significant update to its Copilot features, integrating new functionalities that do not require devices to meet Copilot+ specifications. According to Microsoft's AI division CEO, Copilot now enhances user connectivity, aids organization, and supports health.
One of the new features is 'Mico,' an interface for Microsoft Copilot, dubbed Clippy 2.0. Mico is a conversational character currently being rolled out in the US. Additionally, Copilot Mode is integrated into the Edge browser, allowing it to read pages and remember internet history.
Copilot Groups enable up to 32 users to collaborate simultaneously. The long-term memory feature allows Copilot to remember important information provided by users. Integration with Google services allows access to Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar.
The health-related Copilot features have also been enhanced, offering credible search results from sources like Harvard Health and helping users find local doctors based on health needs. These features are currently being rolled out in the US, with plans to expand to the UK, Canada, and beyond.
