Malaysian Students Win Gold at WorldSkills ASEAN

Two Malaysian students from Clazroom College made history at WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 by winning a gold and a bronze medal in the 3D Digital Game Art category. Lam Kar Chun took home the gold and the Best of Nation title, while Goh Yi Jie secured the bronze.

The WorldSkills ASEAN competition challenged students across six areas of 3D digital game art. Participants had just three days to complete assignments that would typically require an entire semester.

A month before the event, both students participated in a friendly match in Shanghai, which was a humbling experience.

Upon returning to Malaysia, the students extended their training period with support from Clazroom College's team. They engaged in daily review sessions and after-hours work to refine details, focusing on areas needing improvement across all competition categories.

Throughout their preparation, both students utilized MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI laptops, which played a crucial role in their performance by allowing efficient work and real-time previews without technical limitations.

Celebrating Malaysia's successful debut in the 3D Digital Game Art category, Lam Kar Chun is preparing for the WorldSkills Asia competition in Taipei, while Goh Yi Jie considers further studies. Their advice reflects their journey.

The MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI is part of MSI's premium laptop lineup, featuring Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics, and MSI OverBoost Technology.
