Google Cloud to Enhance AI Partnership with Luton Technologies
Google Cloud is set to enhance its partnership in the AI sector with domestic AI startup Luton Technologies by providing the latest AI model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, to its services.
On the 1st, Google Cloud announced plans to expand collaboration with Luton across various sectors, including AI, infrastructure, and security. As part of this partnership, Google Cloud will offer the Gemini 2.5 Pro model to Luton's AI character chat service, Crack.
Crack, launched independently by Luton in April this year, is a leisure-type service where users interact with virtual AI characters. Previously, Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash model was installed, but now a pro model will be introduced.
Google Cloud explained that the Gemini 2.5 Pro will enhance the user experience by supporting the consistency and natural conversation of AI characters.
This collaboration is not the first between the two companies. Luton already applies the Gemini 2.5 model to its flagship service 'Luton 3.0'. At the infrastructure level, Google Cloud technology is utilized in various ways, such as enhancing data processing security through Vertex AI and using Big Query for major decision-making processes.
Lee Se-young, CEO of Luton, stated, "In the process of evaluating AI models for Crack, the Gemini 2.5 Pro model has demonstrated excellent performance and capability in the AI entertainment field, which requires creativity."
Ji Sung, president of Google Cloud Korea, remarked, "It is meaningful that Google Cloud can support Luton's journey in opening the era of 'living AI' as a representative Generative AI startup in Korea."
