Gemini AI Enhances Google Chrome with New Features

Google has integrated its Gemini AI into Chrome, enhancing the browser with smarter search, tab management, and task automation. This integration is available on both Mac and Windows desktop versions of Chrome.

According to a blog post by Google, Gemini in Chrome is designed to better anticipate user needs, help understand complex information, and increase productivity during web browsing. Users can ask the AI chatbot complex questions, get information from web pages, and manage tasks across tabs.

Chrome users will soon be able to access Google Search's AI Mode directly from the address bar and easily change compromised passwords. Google plans to add agentic capabilities to Gemini, enabling it to perform tasks like booking appointments or ordering groceries.

Gemini will also assist in managing Chrome tabs, such as comparing prices across tabs and summarizing information. Currently, Gemini is available for users in the United States using Chrome in English, with plans to expand to other regions.
