Figma Expands Workforce in Response to AI
Figma CEO Dylan Field emphasizes that AI is more about growth than cost-cutting.
While industry leaders predict AI will replace many white-collar jobs, Figma is expanding its workforce. The company focuses on building internal tools to enhance efficiency through AI.
Figma is currently advertising 158 open positions in the U.S., including roles for AI infrastructure software engineers and core product strategy researchers. The company employs 1,600 people.
A recent Figma survey shows 60% of product-focused roles spend more time on high-value work due to AI, and 70% report increased productivity.
Figma went public earlier this year and reported record revenue of $249.6 million for the second quarter, a 41% year-over-year increase. The company will announce third-quarter results on November 5.
