Anthropic Adds Automation Skills to Claude AI
Anthropic has introduced a new feature called 'Skills' for Claude AI, aimed at reducing repetitive tasks for users. This feature promises to enhance efficiency in document creation and deliver expert-level results.
Skills are available to Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users of Claude AI, consisting of specialized folders with predefined instructions. This allows users to avoid repeatedly teaching Claude how to handle specific data.
The feature is accessible across various products, including apps, Claude Code, the Developer Platform, and Agent SDK. Designed for professionals seeking to maximize Claude's potential, Skills helps boost productivity and ensure consistent, expert-level output.
Skills folders can contain important documentation such as guidelines, legal clauses, brand tone, and scripts, which can be applied to projects. This facilitates the rapid creation of documents in multiple formats and the transformation of data into visualizations and charts.
Anthropic also released a new model for Claude this week, named Haiku 4.5, which is faster and more efficient while maintaining the same coding skills as the previous Sonnet version.
