I hope you're not making the same old "I'm going to work out this year" or "I'm going to read more books" resolutions again.
I used to follow the same pattern every year: set big goals in January, make excuses in February, and then beat myself up in December saying, "Next year I'll really..." But last year I tried a completely different experiment and something amazing happened!
The trigger was a comment from my 6-year-old nephew: "Uncle, why do grown-ups make resolutions that aren't fun?" In that moment, I realized that goals are boring and therefore unattainable!
So instead of the traditional SMART goals, I tried a whole new approach: I called it CRAZY goal setting!

Prompt.

# Creative Goal Setting Innovation Framework
## C - Curious (curiosity-based)
- Turning curiosities into goals: [Why/How/What if question-type goals].
- Reflecting a spirit of experimentation: [list of things you want to try]
- Explorers Mindset: [Plan to tackle uncharted territory]
## R - Reverse (Reverse Thinking Approach).
* Failure Goal Setting: [things to intentionally fail at]
* Oppositional Thinking: [finding a different path than others]
* Constraints as Opportunities: [using limitations as a tool for creativity]
## A - Adventure (Adventurous Elements)
- Storytelling Goals: [design a journey that puts you in the center of the action]
- Add gamification elements: [leveling up, quests, reward systems]
- Collaborative missions: [Finding companions to play with and dividing up roles]
Design a creative goal system that reflects my [interests and current situation] today, so that I can be a completely different person in a year's time.
For example, instead of "lose weight", I changed it to "master 100 healthy dishes"; instead of "learn English", I set it to "make 5 foreign friends in 6 months" - same result, but much more fun!
The most fun was my goal to "collect one new failure every week." By intentionally experiencing failure, I lost my fear of failure and was able to take on more daring challenges.
After a year, the results were amazing, as I naturally accomplished things that I would never have been able to accomplish the old-fashioned way: I lost 10 kilograms, my English improved to the point where I could hold business meetings, and most importantly, I started to look forward to waking up in the morning because every day was an adventure.
People around me noticed the change, too: "You're different now. You seem more energized!" When achieving goals becomes fun instead of stressful, sustainable change happens naturally.
So why not design your own creative journey this year, instead of setting the same goals as everyone else? You might find yourself in a completely different place in a year!
