Pinblocks is emerging as a new collaborative tool that combines Notion's powerful canvas features with the immediacy of chat. This tool allows users to pin interactive data blocks to their messages, enabling real-time collaboration without leaving the conversation. In Pinblocks, each pinned 'canvas' acts as a dynamic hub containing multiple blocks where users can edit, vote, brainstorm, or play together. For instance, in a badminton group, surveys can be pinned to allow instant response tallying, preventing them from being lost in off-topic messages.

Additionally, for planning a birthday party, event blocks for RSVPs, to-do lists, surveys, and text blocks that spark laughter can keep the planning group engaged. These blocks can be easily created with commands like /todo, /survey, /event, /table, /text, and /tictactoe.

Pinblocks leverages AI to allow users to instantly generate blocks through commands, offering seamless integration with any chat app. Built with React, TanStack Router, and Tailwind CSS, this tool is fast and scalable, with Supabase as its backend.

Though still in its early days, Pinblocks is already transforming how groups connect and create. Continuous user feedback is helping to refine features and user experience, with promising future developments anticipated.
