Anthropic Secures $13 Billion in Series F, Valuation Reaches $183 Billion

AI firm Anthropic has successfully raised $13 billion in a Series F funding round, increasing its post-money valuation to $183 billion. The funding round was co-led by Iconiq, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from numerous institutional investors, VCs, and sovereign wealth funds, including the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. This substantial influx of capital is intended to bolster Anthropic’s enterprise adoption, enhance its safety research, and foster international expansion. The company, which has seen its run-rate revenue surge from $1 billion to $5 billion, now serves over 300,000 business customers. The number of large accounts, each contributing over $100,000 in revenue, has increased nearly sevenfold in the past year. Anthropic’s product, Claude Code, continues to be a major growth driver, generating over $500 million in run-rate revenue. Despite the impressive growth, CEO Dario Amodei has expressed concerns over accepting investments from certain sovereign wealth funds due to ethical considerations.
