Windows 11 Update Causes AutoCAD and OBS Issues

Microsoft has acknowledged that the Windows 11 KB5063878 update requires AutoCAD to be opened with admin permissions, blocking standard user accounts. This issue has been observed in various schools and labs, even affecting some admin accounts.

Additionally, the update can cause audio/video feed lag in rare cases when using NDI, particularly with apps like OBS. NDI streams may stutter or lag, especially when 'Display Capture' is enabled on the source PC.

Some users suggest removing the update or changing the NDI Receive Mode to TCP or UDP as potential workarounds. However, if these do not resolve the issue, uninstalling the update may be necessary.

Microsoft is aware of the problem and plans to issue a fix in a future update. The issue is most prominent in streaming apps like OBS and NDI Tools, even under low bandwidth conditions.
