ChatGPT Dominates the AI Chatbot Market in 2025

According to the AI Big Bang Study 2025 by SEO agency onelittleweb.com, AI tools recorded nearly 100 billion visits between August 2024 and July 2025, with the top 10 chatbots accounting for 58.8% of that traffic.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT led the field with 46.6 billion visits (48.36% of the total) and an average of 5 billion monthly visits in the latest quarter, confirming its sustained growth.

Rising competitors include Google’s Gemini (1.7B visits, +156% YoY) and Grok (686.9M visits, +1,343,408% YoY). Anthropic’s Claude stood out with an average session time of 16 minutes 44 seconds, nearly double that of many rivals, while DeepSeek lost momentum after peaking early in the year, dropping nearly 40% in five months.

Experts say ChatGPT remains the safest bet, but enterprises should diversify with specialized tools like Claude or Perplexity to reduce risks and stay flexible in the evolving AI market.
