FAQs

  • By default, Janitor AI is completely free when using our own model, JanitorLLM. However, if you want to integrate external LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc. or use more messaging/character features, you will need to subscribe to a paid plan (such as Pro).
  • NSFW (mature content) related filters can be toggled ON/OFF directly from your character settings or from the toggle option at the top of the chat window. However, adult consent is required after login, and NSFW may be restricted when using some external APIs (such as OpenAI).
  • Currently, Janitor AI is web-based and does not have an official mobile app. However, it runs optimized in mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and can be added to your home screen to use it like an app.
  • First, you'll need to get a private API key from OpenAI or Anthropic, for example. Paste that key in the Settings > API Settings menu within Janitor AI, and you'll be able to select and use the corresponding advanced model (GPT-4, Claude, etc.).
  • Yes, you can. After you create a character, you can make it available to anyone by creating a **'share link'**. You can also list them on the Character Marketplace, where they will be displayed based on user ratings and popularity rankings.
  • The Janitor AI has the ability to save conversations (memory function) to maintain the continuity of the relationship with the character, but users can reset it at any time via **'Clear Memory'**. It is also GDPR compliant, and data on the server is stored encrypted.
