OPPO Partners with Google to Enhance Mobile AI

OPPO, a global leader in smart devices, has announced an expanded collaboration with Google to enhance personalized and secure mobile AI. The partnership focuses on advanced AI capabilities, model deployment, and privacy, aiming to deliver intuitive and comprehensive AI experiences to users worldwide.

The innovative AI features will debut on the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Series and ColorOS 16 on OPPO flagship devices.

Kai Tang, President of Software Engineering at OPPO, stated that working closely with partners like Google allows the integration of powerful, personalized, and secure next-generation AI experiences. OPPO aims to provide an AI assistant that understands personal needs and is trusted with personal data.

Central to this collaboration is OPPO’s app AI Mind Space, available on the upcoming Find X9 Series, designed to help users capture and organize information more intuitively. With a simple three-finger swipe, content on the screen can be saved directly into a unified hub, where AI Mind Space categorizes it automatically.

OPPO has partnered with Google to connect AI Mind Space with Gemini, allowing users to take action with saved content. Users maintain control by choosing what Gemini can access. For example, users planning a trip can save articles and notes to AI Mind Space, then ask Gemini to create a detailed itinerary.

As AI becomes more integrated into daily life, OPPO and Google have engineered a solution with privacy as a core principle. The collaboration uses the OPPO AI Private Computing Cloud (PCC), leveraging Google Cloud's confidential computing services to ensure sensitive data is processed securely.

Purchasers of Find X9 or Find X9 Pro will receive a complimentary three-month subscription to Google AI Pro, including access to new features in Gemini and 2TB of cloud storage.
