
Enterprise Leaders Focus on AI Upskilling
Enterprise leaders are intensifying their efforts to enhance AI skills in response to its rapid advancement. A report by General Assembly highlights that many executives are participating in AI training, which is crucial for the success of AI initiatives.
General Assembly, a technology boot camp provider owned by Adecco Group, surveyed over 650 company leaders. More than three in five leaders have attended AI training this year, an increase from 43% in 2024. Leaders are also encouraging their teams to use AI, with participation rising to 73% in 2025 from 55% last year.
Enterprise leaders express confidence in their ability to make AI vendor decisions, with three-quarters believing they possess the necessary knowledge, up from 61% in 2024. Additionally, nearly three in five are confident in using AI tools without compromising proprietary data, a significant increase from the previous year.
Enterprises face challenges in realizing AI projects due to failures and skill gaps, placing pressure on leaders to resolve these issues and achieve desired outcomes. Daniele Grassi, CEO of General Assembly, emphasizes the importance of equipping leadership with technical and change management skills.
AI training has become integral to enterprise plans, with companies like Walmart, S&P Global, and American Honda investing in curricula to ensure safe and effective technology use. Clearview Federal Credit Union views upskilling as a means to enhance implementation plans and execution.
